Introduction:

We are seeking a Trade Support Specialist - Operations to join the Trade & Fund Support Team within the Operations department. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience in trade support or fund accounting within an asset management setting. The role offers a chance to collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operational processes.


About the Role:

As a Trade Support Specialist, you will be a key contributor to the day-to-day operational processes of the Trade & Fund Support Team. You will use your experience in trade support and/or fund accounting to help manage and enhance workflows, support trade matching, settlement, and reconciliation processes, and work with multiple teams both domestically and internationally.


Responsibilities:

  • Support daily operational activities within the Trade & Fund Support team, leveraging your experience in trade support and fund accounting.
  • Collaborate with key internal teams (Sales, Product, Investment, Reporting) and external teams (such as Custodian Banks, Trust Banks, Fund Service Providers, Auditors, etc.) to ensure accurate trade processing.
  • Work with external contributors, including market information vendors and system vendors, to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Ensure accurate position reconciliation between internal and external systems, onboarding, account setup, and trade matching.
  • Utilize market information systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Eikon) to monitor and report data accurately.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency and accuracy of trade support and operational processes.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Trade Support role within an asset management company, especially in relation to investment trust funds, pension funds, and other financial instruments such as equity, bonds, options, futures, and foreign exchange.
  • Experience with fund accounting and knowledge of financial instruments is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of OTC products and experience with ISDA documentation is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in market information systems such as Bloomberg or similar platforms.
  • Strong Excel skills, with VBA skills considered a strong advantage.
  • Fluent Japanese and business-level English are required for effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
