Introduction

Our client, a leading imaging and document solutions provider, is seeking an experienced sales leader to drive global sales initiatives and manage post-contract service delivery for major accounts across the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and Japan. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the entire customer engagement process—from global sales negotiations to comprehensive service implementation—within a dynamic, international environment.


About the Role

As the Director, Greater APAC Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in:

  • Leading global bulk sales of multifunction printers, office services, and digital solutions.
  • Managing key account relationships and acting as the primary point of contact for major global accounts based in APAC/Japan.
  • Collaborating with both regional teams and headquarters to ensure seamless integration of sales strategies and service delivery.
  • Mentoring and coaching a dedicated sales team to drive growth and achieve strategic business goals.

This role offers direct exposure to executive leadership and positions you at the forefront of the company’s focus on innovative, high-impact business initiatives.

Responsibilities

Global Sales Leadership:

  • Drive the promotion and sale of multifunction printers and related office services across multiple countries and regions.
  • Identify and create new sales opportunities in collaboration with regional and global teams.

Account Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with major global accounts through strategic account planning and continuous engagement.
  • Manage contract negotiations and oversee the implementation of services.

Team Management & Coaching:

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and performance management.
  • Foster collaboration between internal teams to enhance digital service offerings and overall customer satisfaction.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with global and regional organizations to align sales strategies and optimize service delivery.
  • Serve as a key liaison between the APAC/Japan market and the global headquarters, ensuring effective communication and strategic alignment.

Adaptability:

  • Embrace changes in scope and strategy as defined by the organization to meet evolving market demands.

Requirements

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales targeting major global clients, with a proven track record in managing cross-border business.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading sales teams and coaching team members in a dynamic, international environment.

Business Acumen:

  • Strong understanding of business management and sales strategies essential for driving growth.
  • Ability to develop and execute account plans that drive customer engagement and revenue.

Language Proficiency:

  • Native to business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in both languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working overseas or in a diverse, international business setting.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong global insight and the ability to adapt strategies to various cultural contexts.
