Introduction:

Our client is seeking an IT Relationship Manager to join their International IT department. This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective use of technology within overseas subsidiaries, providing essential guidance and support to enhance the value derived from technology investments.

About the Role:

The IT Relationship Manager will be responsible for optimizing technology utilization across various international operations. Reporting to the General Manager of International IT Planning, this role involves working closely with Chief Information Officers (CIOs) and Heads of IT to ensure that technology aligns with business objectives and maximizes its impact.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with business stakeholders, CIOs/CTOs, and technical staff to gather and assess information.
• Oversee IT governance to ensure technology supports business needs and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage IT functions including financial control, relationship building, talent management, and project and service management.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with international IT teams and ensure effective communication between various groups.

Requirements:

• Over 5 years of experience in Information Systems management or audit.
• At least 5 years of experience in delivering IT projects or managing operations.
• Master’s or Bachelor's degree in a technical or management field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred qualifications in IT management or audit frameworks such as ITIL or COBIT.
• Proficient in making informed decisions about technology investments and understanding trade-offs.
• Strong knowledge of return on investment and total cost of ownership.
• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Proven technology leadership experience, including team management and maintaining customer relationships.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills in both English and Japanese.
