Introduction:
We are seeking an experienced Retail Product Marketing Specialist to join a dynamic team in Tokyo, Japan. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Retail Product Marketing and various internal teams to drive marketing initiatives that support the retail business. About the Role:
As a Retail Product Marketing Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to support the sales activities of the firm’s retail business. This will involve creating a variety of marketing materials, including sales tools, reports, videos, and websites, to effectively communicate investment stories and product offerings. You will collaborate with various teams, including Retail Sales, to ensure alignment with business goals and opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies to support sales activities, working closely with the Head of Retail Product Marketing and team members.
- Create marketing materials, including sales presentations, investment storytelling tools, reports, videos, and website content.
- Plan and execute promotional webinars and campaigns to engage with clients and prospects.
- Manage relationships with vendors, including ad agencies, design houses, printing companies, and web management firms.
- Coordinate the production of sales and marketing tools to align with the firm’s business objectives and investment strategies.
- Participate in vendor selection and oversee ongoing partnerships to ensure quality and timely delivery of marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- More than 3 years of experience in the asset management industry (buy-side).
- Over 1 year of experience in product marketing and/or retail marketing.
- Skills:
- Strong project management and vendor management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English (TOEIC score of 800 or higher) and Japanese.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
- Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of macroeconomics, financial markets, and investment products.
- Familiarity with asset management, fund structures, regulations, and business practices.
- A broad understanding of marketing tools and materials used for international products in the asset management industry.
