Introduction:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven individual for the position of Senior Manager in Retail Sales. This role is essential for driving the growth of the Retail business through effective relationship management with distributors.


About the Role:

The Senior Manager, Retail Sales will report to the Head of Retail Sales and will be responsible for leading sales initiatives, managing product launches, and developing strategic partnerships with distributors. This position is key in achieving sales objectives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead team efforts to achieve sales objectives, including both targeted and broader initiatives.
  • Manage and execute programs for new fund launches and marketing plans for existing products, considering market trends, client needs, and product features.
  • Maintain proactive communication with employees at all levels, including headquarters, investment consultants, and sales representatives from various distributors and asset management companies.
  • Develop new business partnerships with distributors and cultivate these into productive relationships that generate sales flows over the mid to long term.
  • Achieve targets for assets under management (AuM) and revenue generation.
  • Initiate new product ideas to meet market demands.
  • Prepare business proposals, client reports, investment reviews, and other ad hoc requests.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process for clients and manage ongoing requests effectively.
  • Ensure all sales activities comply with regulatory requirements.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Over 5 years of experience in the asset management industry.
  • Strong motivation for sales, with a commitment to exceeding client expectations.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations, industry association rules, and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with investment management products, services, and market dynamics.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficient in business-level English (spoken and written).
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese (spoken and written) is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Understanding and demonstration of the company’s purpose and core values.
