About the Role

The Director of Strategic Marketing & Commercial Excellence will lead the development and execution of strategies that align with corporate goals and drive market growth. This role is key to the company’s success, focusing on strategic planning, market development, and customer engagement. The Director will work closely with internal teams, business units, and external stakeholders to optimize marketing programs, drive innovation, and continuously improve the business's financial performance.

Responsibilities

  • Business Opportunity Assessment
  • Analyze and evaluate the size, growth potential, and development of relevant treatment areas for the business.
  • Develop segmentation and targeting strategies to enhance market positioning.
  • Market Development & Marketing
  • Design and implement marketing programs that align with business priorities, including exploring new channels.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure effective resource allocation (manpower, budget, structure) and optimize the intensity of marketing activities.
  • Strategic Planning & Alignment
  • Lead the strategic planning process, collaborating with business units to set yearly goals and ensure alignment across all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with global business units (GBUs) and the APAC team to align execution priorities between the regional and local markets.
  • P&L Oversight & Financial Performance
  • Oversee and report on the business unit’s P&L, driving initiatives that improve both top-line and bottom-line performance.
  • Marketing Excellence & Execution
  • Develop customer insights, such as Voice of Customer (VoC) and Net Promoter Score (NPS), to guide marketing strategies.
  • Lead the launch of new products and services across markets.
  • Strengthen the company’s digital marketing capabilities and foster talent development across business units.
  • Key Customer Engagement
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key healthcare professionals (HCPs), including key opinion leaders (KOLs), government bodies, and institutions.
  • Market Access & Marketing Programs
  • Continuously refine the market value proposition for products and services.
  • Lead market access, reimbursement, and health economics projects.
  • Sponsor and oversee the measurement of activity outcomes to ensure alignment with preset goals.

Requirements

  • Experience & Leadership
  • 15-20 years of progressive experience in marketing, sales, channel management, or related roles, with a proven record of leadership and delivering results.
  • Previous experience with multinational healthcare companies is highly desirable.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong strategic planning and business analytics experience.
  • Deep understanding of P&L management and financial acumen.
  • Expertise in commercial excellence, including sales operations management.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency with business software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
